I would like to know more about using Sharepoint as a CDN and using a SaaS to serve the video to it. Additionally we will be investigating OVP's who support/host Articulate interactive flash containers/players. Would love to know more about your service and if it will be a contender for my client.

Re: OVP: Online Video Providers Reviewed

Yes thanks, errors perhaps. I gather infromation from a variety of sources for the research I do, this is just the begining, and only one source. http://www.masternewmedia.o... So I am not surprised there might be some non-truths. This is not meant to be the end all OVP article, but simply a place where I can discuss and record what I find on the web, thanks for stopping by! Please shed any light you have on the subject, what are your expereinces/recommendations?

Re: OVP: Online Video Providers Reviewed

Yes, information gather from a few places, and much more to come, this is just the tip of the iceberg, believe me :) Thanks for stopping by to check out. I will be adding to this over the next few weeks.

Re: OVP: Online Video Providers Reviewed

Great start, but the OVP market is much more complex and nuanced that a three-column chart can articulate.

Additionally, at Twistage, we support encoding directly to MPEG and FLV. We also allow customers to upload their own pre-encoded Flash 8 files if they prefer.

More importantly, though, is that we offer a completely customized video publishing workflow, not just a custom player. The front end is the easy stuff. Our focus is implementing flexible, customized, streamlined workflows for video publishers that automate as much of the process as possible, saving publishers money on every video they produce.

Twistage enables publishers to select which technology partners they use for each workflow process. Use whatever CDN you want, whatever player, any encoder, ad network and more, without having to change a single element of your player's embed code.

Simply put, Twistage is the most flexible OVP on the market. We don't tell you how to work. Our customers tell us how they want to work. Twistage makes it happen.

-Corey Kronengold
VP, Communication
Twistage

Re: OVP: Online Video Providers Reviewed

This article is full of errors. Your article is basically just a reprint of this one:

http://www.masternewmedia.o...

MUCH of your information is incorrect and thus misleading.

Re: OVP: Online Video Providers Reviewed

Hi, I am the Marketing Director at HeyWatch.
Thanks for this article.
That is true, Encoding is one service.

But, you should also have a look at HeyWatch who has been the leader in Online Professional Video Encoding since 2006 - http://bit.ly/5BT30B

Affordable, with exclusive features such as Watermarking, 2-pass, trendiest video formats (h264, Theora for HTML5), HD Ready, and even more. You can use HeyWatch through a graphical smart and complete interface. But for professional use, you can integrate HeyWatch in white label to externalize your encoding tasks and focus on your core business via a REST API.
